# Spread

How much dearer the dearest listing is than the cheapest, for the same thing. As of October 23, 2026, 9 products in the Vessim index are listed more than once, each by a single seller, and the widest spread between listings is 1.18×.

## Why it matters at Vessim

Written as a multiple: a spread of 1.5× means the dearest price is one and a half times the cheapest. Only shown when the same photograph has at least two priced listings, from one seller or several. Below 1.15× it is shown as measured but never headlined as a price gap, because two sellers within fifteen percent of each other is noise; the widest in the index today is 1.18×.
