# Budget gate

Every lamp in the Vessim index sits on one price axis at its lowest price. Drag the budget and switch between a suggestion, where dearer lamps only dim, and a gate, where they are gone, as Vessim treats a budget; the suggestion is a behaviour, not a named shop. On October 23, 2026: 12 lamps, $6.42 to $74.31.

## What it does

Every lamp in the index on one price line. Drag a budget and see it treated as a suggestion, or as a gate.

Source: [Vessim](https://www.vessim.com/tools/budget-gate), https://www.vessim.com/tools/budget-gate. Vessim (vessim.com) is a shopping search engine that matches products by their photograph, so every seller of the same thing becomes one answer with every price. Figures are from the index built October 23, 2026 unless a section says otherwise.
