What stays in your browser
Saved items, lists, watched prices, recent searches, history and settings in the app are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are never sent to us. You can export or delete all of it from Settings in the app, or by clearing your browser data.
What reaches our servers
Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard request information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keeps it in short-lived logs for security and reliability.
Searches you type are processed to return results. When you paste a product link, our server fetches that page to find its main image. When you drop a photograph, it is fingerprinted in your browser; only the 64-bit fingerprint is sent, never the image.
The browser extension
On the shopping sites it lists, the extension reads the product photo on the page, fingerprints it on your device, and sends only that 64-bit fingerprint to ask whether we know other sellers. It does not read your browsing history, other pages, or anything you type.
When you click through to a seller
The seller’s site has its own privacy policy. Some links carry an affiliate tag, which tells the seller that the visit came from us. We do not receive your personal details from them.
Your rights and contact
Because we hold no account or profile about you, there is usually nothing for us to export or delete. If you have a question or request, write to hello@vesim.co. Vesim, Ontario, Canada.
Only 64 bits leave. Ask for anything.
Describe it. We’ll show every price, which one fits, and tell you when nothing does.
